Deerview Meats has been in business since 2011, specializing in processing animals from live to finished product. Now in its 14th year, Deerview Meats has grown to be the premier meat processing plant of southeastern Alberta.

When Deerview Meats was just starting, they had Air-Tech Ltd. help them with the original facility. They installed all of the compressors, freezer doors, and everything else they needed for refrigeration, heating, and cooling. After Air-Tech merged with Terralta, the relationship continued to grow.
Chris Deering, co-owner of Deerview Meats, shared “sometimes there can be rough patches when there’s a change-over. We didn’t feel that on our end at all. It was a smooth transition.”
Since then, the partnership between Terralta and Deerview Meats has only expanded. Deering added, “when I think of working with Terralta and the team there, they very much treat us like they’re partners in our business.”

“If we have an issue and a compressor goes down, it becomes quite critical because we’re dealing with fresh product and there’s a limited amount of time where that needs to be fixed,” Deering notes. “When we phone them, they are out here right away or in contact with us right away to get the problem resolved.”

“From time to time, we’ve had other small things go wrong in our facility,” Deering shares. “It has never been anything substantial, but we can call upon somebody else’s knowledge area to help us fix it. That’s the kind of expanded service offerings that they can bring to the table.
