Let Us Introduce You to Dean Kopperud
You may already know Dean as the Master Electrician behind our projects here at Terralta, as well as the current Chairman for the Medicine Hat Construction Association. Dean says he enjoys coming to work every day because he feels right at home with his coworkers (aka his second family). However, here in the office, we think it may actually be the Whopper Wednesdays he implemented in the office that keeps him coming back each week.
One of the best parts of having Dean here with us at Terralta (aside from his hard work and expertise) is his fun laid-back personality. Dean always makes others feel comfortable around him although his slight obsession with animated movies and pen clicking drives some office mates crazy. Actually all the office mates crazy. Always! Seriously though, Dean plays a huge role in contributing to the culture we’ve worked hard to create here at Terralta and we appreciate him for that!
Way, waaaay back in time, Dean grew up in the small city of North Battleford, where he spent his high school years working at the local gas station. He learned to value family and hard work from his parents, which stayed with him throughout the years. Lucky for Dean, he will be here for many years to come given that his grandma, who he also adored, lived to be 104 years young!
After choosing Medicine Hat to begin Post-secondary to become an elementary school teacher, Dean found himself taking a turn onto a new path in electrical work instead. Over 28 years ago, he landed a job at Quickway where he learned hands-on experience alongside a great team and an even better journeyman.
